Is BlindBox truly anonymous?

Yes. Because we do not require users to sign up or log in, there is no identity attached to the session. Messages are sent directly over a WebRTC data channel with no identifying metadata.

Where are the anonymous messages stored?

The messages are only stored in the Host's browser memory (RAM) and synced to the connected participants in real-time. They are never saved to a database. When the Host closes the tab, the entire room and all its history is permanently deleted.

Can participants see each other's messages?

Yes. When a participant submits a message, it goes to the Host. The Host then broadcasts an anonymized list of all submissions back to all participants. Participants can upvote submissions they agree with.
